Qualities of a Good Teacher

Teaching is a noble profession. The love and selfless attitude towards children makes a teacher an outstanding person. A selfless teacher is always ready to help their students in any kind of difficult situation. Above all, the teacher gets self-satisfaction seeing their students progress.

Here I am going to discuss a few qualities of a good teacher.

A good teacher is a person who wins the heart of a student by making the students believe in them. The student should make sure that you are never going to give up on the child even when the child is a bad performer. That will definitely boost up the child’s confidence. This shows the love of a teacher towards the student.

Dedication is the next quality a good teacher should possess. Whatever may be the situation, a good teacher always shows complete dedication towards her teaching. Dedication of a teacher means, a willingness to help the child grow by giving our time for them and watch them grow. In fact, I can tell that love and passion towards our work together forms dedication.

A good teacher should be a good listener. Teaching should never be a one-way process. It should always be a communication from both ends. A good listener can always build up trust in a relationship. This way a child can build a good rapport with the teacher.

Kindness, honesty and punctuality should be the ornaments which should be worn by the teacher everyday.

Finally, the best quality of a teacher is their love towards their students. When a student comes to us, they are in the form of a small tiny bud, by our love and careful nurturing, they bloom into beautiful and colourful flowers which are a feast to our eyes. A good teacher can form a motherly bonding between the two and children become a part of our heart and soul. Watching them grow creates a delight in us.

A teacher should always inspire their students. A teacher is the only person who can embed the values of honesty, punctuality, truthfulness, love, kindness and compassion which can add additional colours to a student’s life.
